COMMISSIONS
For 2022 I am holding off on commissions but I plan on offering them again next year. If you envision having my art in your home but looking for a particular size, subject or color story…this is the perfect opportunity to have me paint something special, just for you!
Before we begin, I like spending some time getting to know you better either by phone or a home visit. Creating one of a kind paintings for collectors is such a privilege and I want to make sure I can convey the “feel” of what you are looking for. I want this to be a piece of fine art that you can cherish and value forever.
All painting commissions are painted on 1.5” gallery wrapped canvas.
questions to ask yourself
Which paintings of mine are you interested in? Is there a “feeling” you love about them, or colors that you are drawn to?
What subject matter? Do you prefer my seascapes, landscapes, florals?
Where is the artwork going to hang? Do you know the approximate size of the painting you’d like or specific dimensions of your wall?
Do you have a color scheme you would like to me to incorporate into the art?
Budget? Please let me know the price range of what you would like to spend.
about the process
If you decide to proceed, I will put together a contract for us both to sign. There is a $250 non-refundable deposit with the rest due upon completion of the artwork. (I have never had anyone refuse their painting when it was done, but if that were to happen - your $250 deposit can be applied to any original art on my website.)
Your painting will take somewhere between 4-8 weeks to be completed. I will e-mail you some photos when I am blocking the painting in so you can provide any feedback or changes you’d like me to make. I will also send photos as the piece progresses. I will make any requested changes and present it to you for final approval. After that I will sign and varnish your painting. If you would like me to frame the piece, an additional cost will be added for the frame.
Shipping/Delivery of artwork: Yes, of course! There is an additional cost for shipping not included in the painting price. $100 delivery fee for delivery over a 40 mile radius.
